Removing an Interior Door
Removing the trim with a hammer and pry bar is your first step. Tap the pry bar between the inner edge of the trim and the door frame. This will loosen the trim from the frame. If you use the pry bar on the outer edge of the trim, use a small block of wood to place against the wall to keep from damaging the drywall. If you will be reusing the trim be careful not to damage the edges or split the trim. Complete this process on both sides of the door.
