Cost of Waterproofing a Basement
Before you start calculating the cost of waterproofing a basement and digging up about the foundation of your home, you should first observe where the water is coming from. The conventional way to do this is to tape a 12-inch piece of aluminum foil onto the wet basement wall and tightly sealing it. After a few days, check the foil. If the outer surface of the foil is wet, then condensation is the problem. Meanwhile, if the inner surface of the foil is damp, then seepage is the problem.
